The different and exciting Painters’ Roses are the most popular releases of the Delbard’s collections. Each variety and individual rose is unique and exquisitely beautiful, appearing to have been created in the Impressionist style of painting. There is a random but definite link between the Impressionist Masterpieces and the colours of the roses. Their petals are each a whirling pallet of colours mingling unpredictably, ‘each time, neither the same, nor entirely different’, but always a unique harmonious floral arrangement, replenished for you day after day..

Alfred Sisley $20.00 ea new release 2008 As one of Frances great Impressionist Painters during the 1870’s, Sisley painted the beautiful snow bound streets of Paris, the Seine in flood, to the Thames at Hampton Court. His works became invaluable accounts of pure impressionism of the times. Along with Pissarro, Monet, Matisse and Renoir, together they symbolized the wonderful art revolution that was Impressionism!
This world of Impressionism continues today, and is represented in the wonderful colors of Roses, with the French Rose breeder ‘Delbard’and their ‘Painters Collection’
Alfred Sisley follows the Delbard tradition set down by the classic roses, ‘Henri Matisse, Camille Pissarro, Paul Cezanne, Maurice Utrillo’ and the glorious ‘Red Intuition’.
Alfred Sisley the rose bears all the swirling colors and brush strokes of its predecessors, tantalizing burnt salmon-oranges splashed with creamy-whites, no two roses are alike. With age the blooms deepen in color, the orange tones take on darker antique-tan shades. As a plant (approx 1.2m tall) Alfred Sisley shall bloom repeatedly en-masse, flowering with so much color that when planted as a hedge or as standards you can hardly see foliage. The double blooms are up to 15cm across and unfurl themselves not unlike camellia flowers. As with the other painted roses in the series Alfred Sisley is very hardy and resistant to disease, and loves our hottest weather.
After winning a Gold and Silver awards in France, we are sure you shall also find this rose a masterpiece. (DELSTRIJOR)
