Alfred Sisley  As one of France’s great Impressionist Painters during the 1870s, Sisley together with Pissarro, Monet, Matisse and Renoir, symbolised Impressionism. Impressionism continues today in the wonderful colours of Delbard’s Painters Collection. Alfred Sisley follows the Delbard tradition set down by classic roses, ‘Henri Matisse, Camille Pissarro, Paul Cezanne, Maurice Utrillo’ and the glorious ‘Red Intuition’. Alfred Sisley has all the swirling colours and brush strokes of its predecessors, tantalising burnt almon-oranges splashed with creamy-whites, no two roses are alike. With age, the blooms deepen in colour, the orange tones take on darker antique-tan shades. Alfred Sisley blooms repeatedly en-masse, flowering so vigorously that when planted as a hedge or as standards you can hardly see foliage. The double blooms are up to 10cm across and unfurl themselves not unlike camellia flowers. Alfred Sisley is very hardy and resistant to disease, and loves our hottest weather. Winner of Gold and Silver awards in France. Alfred Sisley ( delstrijor)
